Tell us what is TAB?
TAB Trout Area Battle is a social event that gives Trout Area fanatics an opportunity to meet in difficult times. The first edition gathered 12 colleagues, and the seventh edition already had 90 competitors from several countries. The level of the competition has increased, but the friendly atmosphere remains!
Selected positions, how to find yourself in it?
It is worth dividing the so-called sector into several parts. I start with the side closest to my opponent in the turn. It is worth checking various types of lures.
How do we count the scores?
The scoring is as follows - a round won 3 points, a draw with a fish 1.5 points, a draw without a fish 1 point, a loss with 0 points.
How many fish were caught at a competition you recently organized?
In the first edition of the TAB Trout Area Battle in 2022, 1915 fish were counted in 9 turns. I suspect that this is an absolute record at the moment!
When and where the next competition?
On March 19, we have the opportunity to meet at the special fishery called 'Lubojenka'. This will be the second edition of the Trout Area Battle in 2022. The results of this competition will count towards the qualifying round for the Atlas European Championship.
What does the final look like?
After 9 turns, we select the best 8 who compete with each other on the way to the podium. They fight each other in the key 1-8; 2-7; 3-6; 4-5. Half of them are gone and 4 of the winners are gone. These four fight in 2 pairs and 2 winners go to the finals to fight for 1st place. The two players who lost these duels are fighting for the 3rd place.
How do you rate the level compared to other countries?
Our players often showed a high level of sports at competitions organized in Poland, competing with competitors from abroad. The same is true in the fisheries of other countries.
