Fishing for trout with artificial spinning lures is currently the fastest growing "branch" of spinning fishing. The catalog offer of fishing tackle manufacturers is developing in this direction and every year we are dealing with an increasing selection.
The Mikado company has been following the angling trends for years. With practitioners in their ranks who transfer their experience to the catalog, it can already boast a fairly large range of products for the Trout Area. Below we present our suggestions of products that should be of interest to anglers of various levels of advancement.
ROD RACK WITH HOLDER
Fishing in the Trout Area formula requires speed - frequent changes of lures should be quick and efficient. Losses on tying the sets or changing the line translate into the final result. To remedy this, you need to have different sets with you - stronger (usually for the plate), more delicate (for silicone fishing), with different lines (mono and braided line). Each rod must be transported in a way that does not risk breaking it. Players often change sectors, move between positions, pass each other "by the centimeters". When faced with a broken rod, the cost of a suitable pole stand seems like a good investment.
BAG WITH ROD HOLDERS
A large warehouse of lures and easily accessible accessories is one of the foundations on which future success is built. The Mikado EVA bag is light (much lighter than standard plastic crates with handles), roomy (extremely large main compartment) and has an extremely practical belt to carry all the weight on the shoulder. The organization of the position is one thing, but the fishing rod has always been the most important tool. It has to fit the line and the reel and cooperate with a specific group of lures. One of the top, well-suited to the conditions of trout fishing (not necessarily only in the trout area) is the Sensor-X Series. The Sensor-X sticks are delicate, light, with medium bend. There are two lengths to choose from - 183 and 198, and two types of tips - S, finished with a sophisticated insert or T, a classic "tubular".
We currently have a choice of four models of fishing rods:
- 183S - the most delicate rod from the whole family, designed mainly for fishing with the smallest elastics and precise fishing at short and medium distances
- 198S - for fishing with a wide range of soft lures - also with long and slightly heavier "bugs" at a long distance
- 183T- for fishing with baits, wobblers and medium soft lures, definitely the most universal rod from the whole family
- 198T - definitely the strongest, perfect for catching trout in rivers and medium and large gills, wobblers and soft lures.
Micro baits must be fed with the appropriate equipment. It is much easier to put out the work of a micro-rubber wobbler than a several-centimeter wobbler. Our set must be as delicate and as light as possible for everything to work together.
BRAID
If the rod and the reel work properly and take on a lot of overload while hauling, it is worth choosing the thinnest braided line possible. Range, behavior in the wind, speed of reaction - all of these are of great importance and can be the key to success or failure while fishing. Mikado Dreamline is an economical line of ultra-thin braids that do not differ in terms of range or power from much more expensive proposals. The thinnest of them, 0.035, is perfect for fishing with soft lures far from the shore, even in the wind.
FLUOROCARBON
It is a much more important element of the set than you might think. Its curb weight, which is greater than water, better positions the bait under the water, does not form a "balloon", has low abrasion resistance and is invisible to fish. Additionally, it takes over the overload at the critical moment of hauling - when the fish are being fed into the landing net. Each departure of a fish on a short line is an amazing test for each set.
SNAPS
They must be light, reliable and well-sized. ROUND SNAP safety pins in sizes XXS-S are an ideal proposition. Its wide and round profile allows the lure to work freely.
LANDING NET

Much more practical are large baskets with a light rim and a silicone mesh, which can be attached to a standard seatpost, increasing the reach of our landing net.
