The TAB Trout Area Battle competition is behind us.

It was the largest competition organized in the Trout Area formula in which we participated so far, and at the same time qualifying for the Atlas European Championship.

90 competitors met in the town of Jeruzal, in the fishery of 'Ranch by the Pond', to compete with others for the first time this year and test their skills.

The number of players shows how this new formula is becoming popular and attracts more and more followers.

It is also worth mentioning a few words about the Trout Area formula itself. For the majority of anglers, spinning enthusiasts, it is associated with senseless, without any logic and adrenaline fishing for "psyches" because they always take it and do everything!

It is, to put it mildly, a misleading perception of this formula by people who most often have never participated in this type of competition. Ba! they did not even try to catch those valiant fish.

So what is the Trout Area really?
Is it true that they take on anything and anyone can catch them by tons? First of all, it is a large dose of adrenaline, where in 20 minutes we try to catch more than our opponent. Yes exactly! The round takes 20 minutes, and believe me it is very little time. It is this short turn that defines the rest:

  • lures: there's no time to experiment, that's where the moment counts. Either we hit the type, color or grammage, or we count the fish for the opponent without catching anything ourselves;
  • sticks, and more precisely ready-made sets: there is no time to tie them during the turn, not even to change the bait. Therefore, during the breaks, players with four or even more ready-made sets are passed by. You broke it, got it mixed up? It doesn't matter, you grab the second ready-made rig and go fishing, you don't waste any time;
  • perfectly matched braids / lines / fluorocarbons to the size of the fish in the fishery and to the baits used;
  • and finally a safe and quick haul. There is no time to "let go" here;) you have to do it quickly! Faster than your opponent because every second counts. The same is true for picking up or releasing a fish.

It's so fast about Trout Area, because this is exactly what this discipline is - fast and mega exciting.

A very large dose of positive energy condensed in nine 20-minute rounds.

The atmosphere is indescribable, you just have to be there.
